Electromagnetic-acoustic (EMA) thickness gauge UT-3M-EMA allows measuring the thickness of metal products without a couplant and through a layer of coating or rust, so the device has an obvious advantage over common ultrasonic thickness gauges. Moreover, this EMA thickness gauge allows measuring the thickness through a considerable air gap up to 6 mm, so an operator can test the thickness without any contact with a tested object.
The probe of EMA Thickness Gauge NOVOTEST UT-3M-EMA contains a permanent magnet. Different probes can be fitted with magnets of different field strengths. The more powerful a magnet of a probe is, the bigger the gap between
the probe and the tested object can be.
EMA Thickness Gauge NOVOTEST UT-3M-EMA incorporates smart circuit solutions, state-of-the-industry FPGA chips, as well as a digital signal processing techniques which made it real to get high sensitivity and a wide measurement range when using weak magnets.
